Marek Kamiński`s book is an amazing story. He and Jasiek show such determination and courage in their desire to reach the North Pole, and Jasiek has only one leg. I would not have undertaken such a challenge and I would not have advised Jasiek to do it either – but they struggled in despite all obstacles. Foolish, no doubt but greatly to be admired ` Ed Hillary.`
